Damage to sleeves will most often result in a reduction in print quality. Measure, track and predict the condition of your sleeves with our range of TIR and Scanning devices.
The Heaford TIR & Surface Scanner range has been developed to help converters maintain consistent print quality through accurate sleeve inspection and surface analysis. Using advanced 2D and 3D laser-scanning technology, the system quickly identifies sleeve wear, damage, and surface deformities that could impact print performance, helping reduce downtime and improve production reliability.
Designed as a powerful quality assurance tool for flexographic print environments, the scanner generates detailed contour maps and axial plot views to provide clear visibility of sleeve condition and surface accuracy. Historical scan data can also be stored and analysed to support lifespan prediction, sleeve tracking and long-term production planning.
The Heaford TIR & Surface Scanner range incorporates advanced 2D and 3D laser technology with measurement accuracy of up to +/- 25 microns and repeatability of 12 microns. The system supports scanning widths ranging from 40mm to 100mm and can complete an average sleeve scan in approximately 2 minutes.
Detailed contour analysis enables operators to identify high and low spots, cutting damage and other sleeve surface irregularities, while stored scan data supports historical analysis and graphical lifespan projection. The system is compatible with bare polymer sleeves, excluding Twinlock systems.
The TIR & Surface Scanner system can be configured to suit different production requirements, from quick multi-band inspections through to full in-depth sleeve surface scans. Axial plot views are also available, enabling operators to analyse the profile of specific bands across the sleeve length for enhanced inspection accuracy and quality control.
Flexible scanning configurations allow converters to tailor inspection workflows to their operational needs while maintaining fast, accurate and repeatable sleeve analysis performance.
